“Blogger meets Burger” was the theme employed by Yehey! as they invited bloggers in the launching of Chili’s latest mouthwatering treat… Four new burgers were introduced to us plus a delectable dessert.
THE GOURMET BURGER is a peppercorn-crusted creation with fried pickles, gouda cheese, and dijon aioli.
ULTIMATE MUSHROOM BURGER – grilled burger with melted Swiss cheese topped with rich mushroom sauce and crispy onion rings.
SMOKED MEATLOAF -smoked meatloaf topped with crispy onion rings with shredded lettuce tomato and pickles.
PATTY MELT – Grilled burger on crunchy Texas toast, Swiss cheese, chipotle-glazed onions and crispy bacon and served with Jalapeno ranch dressing.
Although I am not a burger fan, I had to try a little of everything. So what’s my verdict? I was inclined to favor the Ultimate Mushroom Delight since I love mushrooms. The mushroom sauce that is served with this delightful burger truly complements the whole ensemble.
However the scrumptious Gourmet Burger won my palate. The peppercorns gave it a pungent taste that gives a little kick. The luscious patty is cooked perfectly, not dry. To add up, the “melt-in your mouth” gouda cheese is just heavenly!
The Smoked Meatloaf Burger are for those people who love strong flavors while Patty Melt is perfect for breakfast especially with those crunchy bacon on it.
All these burgers are served with Chili’s Homestyle Fries.
Of course, a perfect meal is not complete without a dessert (especially for a sweet tooth like me). What could be a more suitable dessert for a country like ours than a Banana Cream Pie? The Philippines is rich with this very nutritious fruit and Chili’s has turned it to a sumptuous dessert.
It has graham cracker crust with banana custard filling that’s topped with fresh bananas, whipped cream, drizzled caramel and cocoa powder. The custard filling consists mostly of condensed milk, that’s why I thought the dessert will be overly sweet. Surprisingly, it’s not! The fresh bananas complemented the taste.
So head over to the nearest Chili’s restaurant and indulge your palate in these mouthwatering delights. Chili’s have branches located at Greenbelt 5, Northeast Greenhills, Tomas Morato, and the newly opened branch in Power Plant Mall in Rockwell.
