Iceberg’s Eskimo Bob

After a hefty dinner in one of the seafood restaurants along San Miguel by the Bay strip, we decided to stroll along the strip. With breeze from the bay, it was a nice way of letting those calories burn a little :-) But wait, there’s still room for dessert.

Being in a tropical country, everyday is a perfect excuse to indulge in ice cream and other frozen desserts. Iceberg’s Eskimo Bob was just the thing.

I have always been a fan of Iceberg’s. For a sweet tooth like me, it is such a delight to always visit their store on a hot summer day. This night was no different. As I was figuring out what to order I came across this “Caramel Flan con Hielo”. It’s a twist from the normal “Saba con Hielo”. (Saba is plantain – saba con hielo is sweetened plantain with iced shavings).

Iceberg’s servings are usually good for sharing so hub’s and I shared this delightful dessert. The Caramel Flan has chewy macapuno balls, sweetened plantain, ripe mango cubes, a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel syrup topped with a cherry, and my favorite of all — generous servings of leche flan. And of course, this wouldn’t be complete without adding the milk.

For those who prefer the usual dairy frozen dessert, you may want to stick with the ever popular splits. Just like their Classic Banana Split, Peach Banana Split, Mango Tango Split, and their Oreo Banana Split — a much loved dessert for kids.

Iceberg’s Eskimo Bob is not only a great place for dessert but they also serve sumptuous meals as well.

Eskimo Bob has the following branches, San Miguel by the Bay, Mall of Asia, Pasay City (415-6778), Robinson’s Midtown, Ermita and recently they opened at the Atrium, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
